There are two pubs in the village offering wonderful hospitality and good cuisine. The Bells of Peover WA16 9PZ, run by Dave and Angela, 01565 722269, is the older of the two, and you will find it at the end of the cobbled lane that also leads to the two schools and the church, in the area in the village known as Little Peover. Its original name was the Warren de Tabley Arms, but many years ago two generations of the Bell family brewed their own beer there, and the pub became known by their surname. Probably because of its proximity to the church and the name has stuck ever since.

The Crown Inn, WA16 9QB, is run by Simon and Janet, 01565 722476, can be found at the other end of the village not far from the shop. It also serves out excellent food and hospitality and has a beer garden. It’s a CAMRA real ale house and is a 5* member of Cask Mark. There is a quiz night held there every Tuesday at 8pm ( at present on hold due to Covid ) and many music events in the summer months.
